Every national park in the world is really a great hub for different animals and a safer place for wildlife after the forests. Though there are many national parks, every park has its own specialties and one among them is the Corcovado National Park situated in Costa Rica in America. The biodiversity in the Corcovado National Park is completely natural. It is situated on the Peninsula of Osa and is unique in its own way. The Corcovado National Park is the only tropical primary lowland rainforest that is left in the world. The tourists who are interested to visit the national park are instructed to carry enough clothing and food items along with them as they need to travel for some days and cross many eco systems in the park.

There are various guided tours and the tourists can choose the tours of their interest. There are ranger stations too in the park. The Corcovado National Park, though a remote area, can be located with not much difficulty from the areas like the Bay of Drake and Puerto Jimenez. Rincon and Puerto Jimenez are among the small towns that surround the Corcovado National Park and there are many hotels in the ecological parks for the convenience of the tourists visiting the park. There is a remote lodge called Golfa Dulce in the Osa Peninsula which is known for adventures like river snorkeling, diving and fishing. Golfa Dulce is a great place for people who love marine photography and they would sure have a nice time clicking pictures.

Apart from these, the Corcovado National Park also has a River Coto’s estuary that contains exhilarating flora and fauna. The Osa Peninsula consists of not only the national park but also lagoons, beaches, fresh water herbaceous swamps, montane forests and mangrove swamps. The Osa Peninsula is the largest primary forest on the American Pacific coast and also it has many primary lowland forests.

Corcovado National Park can be termed as the ecologist’s Disney world as it has eight distinct habitats with thirteen major eco systems that contains over 400 species of birds, 500 arboreal species, 140 species of mammals,100 species of reptiles and amphibians. One can also identify the pumas, jaguars, monkeys, crocodiles and snakes. It is undoubtedly the ultimate ecological spot in the Costa Rica region and can be called as the Paradise on the Earth.
