One our way to the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose we drove past a lot of little hotels that looked kind of scary. There was one called the Best Western that had a lot of native men hanging around it and it made us a little nervous. But as soon as we pulled up to the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose, we knew we would be safe! We even got to park in the parking garage there and they had a security guard on watch at all times. The concierge helped us get to our rooms and made sure that we were all settled in and that we had everything we needed. Though I’ve never been to another hotel in a foreign country, I’m sure the Hotel Costa Rica san Jose is better than most.

The best day started out with pancakes, bacon and fresh tropical fruit. Then we all showered and got ready to go. We hopped in the rental car and took off towards the Spirogyra Butterfly Garden. Wow! There were over 30 kinds of butterflies there and it was so beautiful. Some of the butterflies actually landed on us and we took about 100 pictures while we were there. There were even moths and caterpillars too. The woman there was so friendly and she kind of looked like Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer Lopez was a judge on the show The Voice and I love all of her music. I heard that she just separated from Marc Antony. He is really cute, but I think she can do better than him.

The woman there was so sweet and she explained everything to us and even gave us materials so that we could know what species each type of butterfly we saw was. We ate lunch and had coffee at the little café and posted pictures on Facebook to make our other friends jealous.
Since it was still early afternoon when we were finished there, we decided to go up to the beach for the rest of the day. We lay on the beach, swam, watched the natives and had a really great time in the 76 degree weather. If that first day had been our only day there, it still would have been heaven. But we stayed at the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose for an entire week and we had such a great time. It was the perfect ending to high school and a great way to spend time with my best friends before we went off to college in the fall.
 

When I got there, he surprised me by saying that we would be staying in a hotel room rather than with his roommates. He even got me my own room so that I wouldn’t feel pressured in any way! We stayed at a hotel called the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose. I still don’t know if he either spent a ton of money or if the hotel is really this considerate, but the maid actually came into my room every morning and made me breakfast! Anything I wanted, she could make! She was so nice to me, I felt like I was a princess.

One night we went out for drinks with his friends. I took Spanish in college, so although I wasn’t fluent, I could understand and communicate well enough. He took me from the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose out to dinner first at a really nice restaurant and then we went to a place called the Plaza de la Cultura and hung out with his friends and family until about 3 AM. I even saw some other tourists there and one of them looked like Blair from Gossip Girl! Leighton Meester is one of my idols so I took a bunch of pictures of this stranger, but it turned out to not be her because she was filming Gossip Girl in France at the time. I heard a story about her a few days ago actually, that she is actually a singer too. I saw her Country Strong movie, but I didn’t know that she had her own album! She is a really busy person for how old she is, I wonder how she does it all!

Anyway, back to my story, we enjoyed three weeks together at the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose, I think he had something new for me to see and do every day we were there! The best part is, he proposed a few days before it was time to leave; and he decided to come back to the US with me to meet my friends and family. He stayed with me for about 2 months and then went back home to take care of things at home and then he moved back with me. We have been living together for a year and are just about to go get married in Costa Rica! We are definitely staying at the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose again and so are all of my friends and family! I am so excited!

Our first morning, the maid came in and made us breakfast, we let her choose what to make us, so she made a wonderful Costa Rican style breakfast and left us toast with jelly and fresh tropical fruit. That just got me more excited to go and see the Rain Forest; to see where all that beautiful and yummy fruit grows! I was anxious to get started so we left the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose before 9:00 AM and we were on our way to the Rain Forest. First, we took the ground tour so that we could walk through the ground floor of the Rain Forest. I got some really great pictures of plants, insects, animals and our native guide. After about a 4 hour walk, we heard about the Tram ride through the canopy. Though we were tired, we went into the café and got some lunch and coffee. Then we were ready to go on the Tram tour. I took so many pictures on the Tram tour that I ran out of space on my digital camera! It’s a good thing I am OCD and remembered to bring another memory card because I would have been very disappointed if I couldn’t keep all the photos I took.

One of the natives who was on the tour with us looked a lot like Johnny Depp. He was a lot more outgoing than you see Johnny Depp in his interviews, plus he only spoke Spanish. When we got back to our hotel room at the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose, I just had to look up his picture so that I could see if him and the real Johnny Depp actually looked that much alike, so I went online in our room and found a pretty cool story about him. He recently starred in an animated film about a Lizard called Rango. It is expected that it will be the best animated film of the year. We actually took the kids to see it after we got back from Costa Rica and it was pretty cute.

This last April when we went to the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose, we decided to do some more sightseeing and we decided to go to the Hot Springs near the VolcanArenal. We all love hiking and rock climbing and though we have been here many times before, we always enjoy going. We have new pictures to show off to our friends and family each year. There are so many beautiful flowers, mountain cliffs, the volcano, the beautiful skies and so much more to take pictures of each year.

This year at the Hot Springs there was a guy who looked just like Matthew McConaughey! Of course, this tourist didn’t have quite as nice of a body with his shirt off, but us girls weren’t complaining! I recently read that Matthew McConaughey had his second kid; boy what I wouldn’t give to have his kids! He and his girlfriend have been together since 2006 and have 2 kids, but they still haven’t gotten married. I wonder what’s taking him so long.
Already planning next year’s trip to the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose. There is always something new to discover there and I don’t think we will ever go a year without going there each Spring Break. The parties are amazing, the dancing is non-stop and the weather is a perfect 76-80 degrees every single day! Not one year during Spring Break, in the beautiful land of Costa Rica, have we seen a rainy day!
 

At about 10:00 AM after a very quiet and peaceful first night as a married couple, the maid at the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose came into our room and made us breakfast in our small kitchen. We both chose waffles and bacon and they were delicious! She made sure we had everything we needed and she also made sure that she didn’t disturb us too much. She also congratulated us on getting married and said we might like to go to the beach to get some sunshine and swim. We thought that was a great idea so we got ready and headed down to the beach.

There was a different security guard in the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose parking garage by this time, but he was equally helpful and friendly. As soon as we got out of the car at the beach, I knew I was in heaven. The white sand look almost unreal and the beautiful water was blue and sparkling. There were many other tourists there, but the beach was so big that we all had enough space to have our privacy. There was even a bar at the beach so that me and my husband could sit back and relax all day long and enjoy some delicious mixed fruit drinks. I don’t know if it was all the drinks or not, but I swear the guy who worked at the bar looked just like Taylor Lautner. I have read all the Twilight Saga books and I am anxiously awaiting the 4th movie to come out in November; however I am kind of upset that we have to wait another whole year before we get to see the second half of it!

At the beach, we took pictures of the natives, the tourists, each other, the water, the sunset, and so many more things. I really loved that first day of being married. With the white sand and the warm weather, I almost felt like Bella on her first day of being a wife, I felt like I was in paradise! I can’t wait to go back again soon and stay at the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose again!

On my way to the museums, while at stoplights and in traffic; I took photos of the surrounding areas and the natives and tourists. I saw a few hotels; one of them was the Hilton. It looked really crowded and a little dirty and overly outrageous. I was glad that I chose the smaller, cleaner, and more private Hotel Costa Rica San Jose.

When I finally arrived at the museums, I was so excited. I first went into the Pre Columbian Gold Museum and was able to see pieces of gold work that were made from 500 AD to 1500 AD!! That’s really old! They were all so beautiful I could have stayed there all week taking pictures and enjoying the sites to see! Then I went over to the Numismatic part of the museum and I got to see some of the beautiful pieces from 1502 to the current times. This museum is all about the Costa Rican Currency and shows all the different types of money that they have used in the past years.
While I was looking at the money I looked over and saw a tourist that looked just like Hilary Clinton! I just read a story about her a few days ago that she went to Bali. She is a big player in Human Rights and I wish that she would have won the democratic vote so that she could have been the first woman president. She may not be perfect, but she may have done better than Obama. There are so many people out there without health insurance and Obama used that to his advantage to win. It turned out it wasn’t her, she looked a lot like her from far away, but once I got close up I could tell it wasn’t her, politicians don’t get much time to vacation I guess.

Overall, my trip to Costa Rica was amazing. I really loved the staff at the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose. They were so helpful, they always made sure I was taken care of, and they were especially friendly. I plan on going back to Costa Rica sometime very soon and I will definitely be staying at the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose every time I go.

Earlier that morning at the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose, I hung around in my room and chatted with the maid while she made me breakfast. Every morning she made me breakfast, it felt like I was a princess and I had my very own maid! She made me some really delicious breakfasts, like omelets, traditional Costa Rican foods, fresh fruit, tropical juices, pancakes, bacon and so much more during my 10 day stay there. I was always surprised at how good the food was. I never ran out of towels or shampoo, the room was always clean and the little kitchen in my room was always stocked for me!
We talked about the volcano and I learned some really cool stuff about it. It was formed over 7,000 years ago and the volcano actually erupted back in 1968 after 400 years of inactivity; since then, small eruptions have been pretty much constant, but they haven’t seen any since 2010. It is a really powerful feeling to be so near something that could kill you in a second!

The weather in Costa Rica was beautiful the entire time. When I wasn’t out enjoying the sites, I was either at the beach or sitting out on the patio at the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose. All of the staff was really friendly and they always made sure I had everything I needed to relax and enjoy myself. I don’t think the temperature was ever below 76 degrees during the day and I never saw a cloud that looked like it was going to rain.
On my way back to my hotel, from the VolcanArenal, I drove past a hotel called the Hot Springs Hotel. It looked nice, but it was really crowded because it was so close to one of the biggest attractions in Costa Rica. I liked how quiet and quaint the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose was. I saw a tourist who looked just like Brad Pitt. I actually just read a story about him the other day; it looks like he’s been messing around behind Angelina Jolie’s back. I guess then maybe it really could have been him; maybe he was staying there with his secret girlfriend! Too bad I was in the cab and couldn’t stop to see if it was him; would have been cool to get an autograph and a picture with him!

I was on my own. I had a few friends who went with me and it was better than ever than if we had a whole bunch of adults with us. My grandparents had connections and were able to get it so we didn’t have to take anyone with us. That’s when we went about and got breakfast and lay on the beaches. That’s just what I did too. I was excited to do it and I wasn’t going to give this up either.

I have to admit that I was looking forward to just being a guy. I wanted to go walk around and take in the scenes around me. I saw some amazing things which some of those I had marked as a must see or must do thing which I learned from the staff at Hotel Costa Rica San Jose.

One of the things I did was go to the Sarchi Village. There were tons of crafts there. I never thought I would get into that sort of thing, but it was pretty cool. My sister’s birthday was in that month of august. So, I decided I had better get something and was able to get something for her. They had clothing and jewelry and so much more that you could choose from. However, I had a bit of a time trying to figure out how much things were and things of that nature.

I took some awesome pictures of the beaches. I think I just wanted to rub it in to the people who couldn’t go with me. The parents were included in those that I wanted to rub it in on. I was surprised to find just how many foreigners there were at this event. I’ve never seen that many before. It was cool to see so many people there though. So, I got some good shots at that.

We were going past this hotel. I think the name of it was Hotel Balmoral or something like that. It didn’t look good at all. It looked a little dirty on the outside. I’m thankful that we were staying at the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose and not at that hotel. That would have really sucked. That and one of my friends said he saw someone that looked exactly like George Clooney there. That was my man when he played on ER. Last I heard, he was on some project in the Sudan. I think it would be cool to go there. However, what he’s doing is some major stuff and can really make a difference in the end. That’s pretty cool.

I have found some great things to do as I have been reading about Costa Rica, but nothing beats the weather here. I never expected so much sunshine nor did I ever expect so much fun. I was amazed to see how well everyone took to me and helped me as I didn’t fully understand the language. The people here at the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose were very helpful.

I looked at going to a few places, but the place I spent the most time at was called the Serpentario. For those of you who don’t like snakes, then this isn’t the place for you. This is where you can observe everything from snakes, frogs, lizards and other slimy little things like this. Being a man I sort of just loved this. So, you might be amazed if you travel to this location.

I got a few pictures of me with some of those fun loving creatures. You were able to hold just a few of them and that was fun to do. Being able to capture a few on films was really neat. It was something that I didn’t want to forget. However, I got pictures of nature in general which was really pretty. Some of the shots are hanging in my living room as they were just so surreal looking.

Something I was amazed by was the hotel I stayed at. A buddy of mine stayed at Casa Oshun Hotel and he said that just by the pictures, you could tell the difference. The rooms were bigger and had more for the person staying there at the Hotel Costa Rica San Jose. I was happy I found this one. I was excited to see that I had a better experience than he did.

I think I even saw a guy that looked like Steve Carell there. I loved the show the Office which he was on. Maybe he needed a vacation like me. Who knows? I know that if I was leaving the show I had been used to playing on, I myself might need a vacation due to how close to the cast I became. I know a lot of my friends were angered that he was leaving. They said that with the new person being Will Ferrell who took over, it just wasn’t’ the same. Watched one show with Will on it and I soon saw what they were seeing. That was a bummer, but seeing someone who looked just like him was pretty sweet!

Like I said, its April. We have nothing better to do. So, it was pretty nice just being able to get out of the country before we have to go back to work and back to school. We have been very close knit ever since we joined the sorority. I’m looking forward to venturing out and seeing what places to shop we have. So, that will be pretty fun to do. There’s plenty of places to go shopping is what we were told. So, it’s like killing me to wait patiently. The money is burning a hole in my pocket.

The other thing we have found is that we have been able to take a ton of pictures. There were some of us that we took at Hotel Costa Rica San Jose. We were acting goofy like we always do. We even went to another hotel to show people how made we had it. We went to the Hotel Presidente and found some pretty discouraged people. They said that they didn’t get quite the service that they would have hoped to get. So, I we took pictures to show that we were happy at our hotel.

Our science professor would be proud of us. We were happy to visit what they in Costa Rica call Talamanca Range La Amistad Reserves. This was very pretty and very interesting to learn about. What we have learned about this was that glaciers actually created this great landscape. Now, that is something that is spectacular. This is something that you can’t see anywhere else. Can’t you imagine looking at something like this? Yes, we took pictures of this too. They have left their mark and when you see the mark they have left, you will be amazed.

I saw a guy who looked like Bruno Mars. Now, for those of you who don’t know who he is, he’s that new singer that many are talking about. He has some pretty romantic songs. Everyone in our sorority loves to listen to him. That’s something that you just don’t find anywhere. I so wished it would have been him. I would have been swooning like you wouldn’t believe. That’s just how much I love to listen to his music. I have his CD. So, it’s pretty good just to sit there and listen to him. I would so make him sing one of his songs if it was really him. You see only this at Hotel Costa Rica San Jose. You just have to come see this place.
